The first Hilton Garden Inn brand to open in Wales is nearing completion and is due to open at Snowdonia Adventure Parc in Dolgarrog in March 2021.

Hilton Garden Inn Snowdonia will be a four-storey hotel with 106 bedrooms. Facilities include a Wave Garden Spa and Zephyr’s Restaurant & Bar, a ground floor restaurant which overlooks the surf lagoon, part of the wider adventure park.

Hilton Garden Inn Snowdonia will include corporate conference and meeting facilities for up to 230 delegates.

The Wave Garden Spa will feature indoor and outdoor treatment areas, including vitality pools, a yoga studio, hammam and Himalayan salt sauna. 

Hilton Garden Inn Snowdonia is located along the Conway Road, next to Adventure Parc Snowdonia, around seven miles from Conwy, and 10 miles from Betws-y-Coed in Snowdonia National Park.

BrewDog, the Aberdeenshire-based brewer, has unveiled plans to open its next hotel in Manchester.

It is planned to open in 2021 under the DogHouse brand – news which will no doubt bring a smile to the face of a colleague suffering with ‘Covid-fatigue’.

The proposed BrewDog site is currently an empty three-storey office building in Fountain Street in central Manchester.

BrewDog Manchester will have a fire pit and barbecue and 25 en-suite bedrooms which will feature Punk IPA on tap as well as ‘shower beer’ fridges in every room.

BrewDog Manchester will have a restaurant and bar on the ground floor plus a rooftop bar area.

BrewDog currently operate three hotels, one in Aberdeen and two in the USA. It is also planning to open a craft beer hotel in London.

Amano Covent Garden hotel is a new hotel currently under development in central London. The hotel will result from the redevelopment of Drury House, a former office building in Covent Garden.

Amano Covent Garden hotel will have 141 bedrooms and is expected to launch in 2022.

Amano Covent Garden hotel will be operated by Germany-based Amano Group – a hotelier with 15 hotels across Germany.

Amano Covent Garden hotel is the first of multiple hotel projects planned in the UK.

Construction has reached its highest point on a £50million construction at St Peter’s Square in Manchester, which when complete in autumn 2012 will house both a Motel One and a Staycity Aparthotel.

The ground floor up to the 8th storey of the building will house 328 Motel One bedrooms, with amenity areas at street level. Floors nine to 20 will feature 256 studio and one-bedroom units for Staycity. It will be branded as a Wilde Aparthotels by Staycity.

Internal fit-out at the hotel is already progressing with most of the Motel One section almost completed.

Motel One St Peter’s Square will be the third Motel One to open in Manchester. It joins the 330-bedroom Motel One Piccadilly in London Road and the 302-bedroom Motel One Royal Exchange in Cross Street. It will be the second Staycity to open in Manchester. It will join the 182-apartment Staycity Manchester Piccadilly, a short walk from Piccadilly station.

Qbic Hotels is planning to open its second UK hotel in Manchester in March 2021.

Qbic Manchester will be based in a converted office block in John Dalton Street in central Manchester. It will have 261 bedrooms ranging from Smart Rooms with no windows to ‘Fun Rooms’ and ‘Fancy Rooms’ sleeping up to three guests. All rooms will be furnished with the latest in-room comforts and technology.

‘Motley’ will be the restaurant in Qbic Manchester serving breakfast, through brunch, lunch and dinner.

Qbic Manchester will have a range of meeting rooms promising ‘spaces with character, fresh healthy food, great coffee and a superb helpful team’.

The Qbic concept is based on protecting the environment. Its modular construction technique means the hotel room shell can be transformed to a fully functioning room in three hours at the same time making use of primarily recycled materials.

Qbic Manchester will be the group’s second hotel in the UK joining Qbic Hotel London Whitechapel. Two more Qbic Hotels are located in Amsterdam and Brussels.

Qbic Manchester is a short walk from Manchester Piccadilly, Manchester Oxford Road and Manchester Victoria stations.

The government is currently making plans to administer the hopefully successful anti-Covid vaccine.

The NHS is the aiming to inoculate up to 5,000 people each day. To do that it needs suitable facilities and it is reportedly planning to use conference and exhibition centres as well as other public buildings such as Town Halls, sports stadium and other large scale buildings to administer the vaccine.
