Crowne Plaza Marlow completes its extensive refurbishment
Crowne Plaza Marlow has just completed its extensive multi-million-pound refurbishment.
The refurbishment programme has included all 168 bedrooms. They now feature a contemporary décor and are furnished with luxury duvets and extra pillows, a desk with telephone points for the business traveller, a 49" Flat Screen TV with music system and an en-suite bathroom.
Crowne Plaza Marlow now features a brand new AA Rosette Glaze Restaurant, Aqua Bar and Lounge plus a Conservatory overlooking the hotel’s lake and lawns.
The Winterlake Conference Centre at Crowne Plaza Marlow has ten meeting rooms, all equipped with the latest technology including ceiling-mounted laser projectors, 75” Samsung TV’s with Clickshare wireless technology and the latest microphone technology. The Winterlake Conference Centre offers extensive catering options and will accommodate up to 450 delegates.

Swan Inn in Somerset opens new bedrooms
Butcombe Pubs and Inns has opened The Swan Inn in Somerset following a major renovation and now offers nine new bedrooms.
The Swan Inn is located in Rowberrow close to the village of Winscombe in Somerset’s Mendip Hills.
The Swan Inn is a 17th century Grade-II listed inn. Five new bedrooms have been added in the main building joining four dog-friendly rooms in the inn’s converted barn.
Each bedroom at the Swan Inn is furnished with a Smart TV, a Roberts Radio, a mini-fridge and a rain head shower plus complimentary wi-fi. The Swan Inn serves all-day food featuring pub classics with Butcombe beer on tap.
The Swan Inn is located just off the A38, seven miles south of Bristol Airport.

New Team Building opportunities at sea
The Royal National Lifeboat Institution College offer plenty of options for the conference and events organiser. RNLI College occupies an impressive waterside setting in Poole in Dorset, a short stroll from Poole Quay.
RNLI College offers choice of ten well-equipped meeting rooms most with harbour views. The largest room – the Waterfront Suite – will seat up to 200 delegates for a theatre style meeting.
In addition, The Royal National Lifeboat Institution College has 60 bedrooms on-site all with harbour views. All bedrooms have en-suite facilities, a double bed and high speed wi-fi.
Riggers Restaurant and Slipway Café:Bar provide onsite refreshment.

New for 2020, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution College is launching two unique experience days taking place in their Sea Survival Centre and delivered by qualified RNLI trainers. Participants can choose from the half day Capsize Experience or half-day Sea Survival Experience or combine the two to make a day of it. The experience days are designed to give participants a taste of the training the lifeboat crews undergo.

L’oscar London opens events space
L’oscar London, the hotel inspired by Oscar Wilde, has launched three new events spaces.
The Baptist is the largest room and is set within the building’s Grade II-listed chapel. It will accommodate up to 150 delegates for a reception.
The Library, with its oak paneling will accommodate up to 100 delegates for a reception or 72 for a dinner.
The Committee Room is the smallest room and is located on the first floor. It features an original fireplace and a vaulted hand plastered ceiling. It will accommodate up to 26 delegates boardroom style.
L’oscar London opened in 2018 with 39-bedrooms and is set within the former headquarters of the Baptist Church. All bedrooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV, a desk, a seating area and a private bathroom. All rooms have air conditioning and complimentary wi-fi access.
L'oscar Restaurant is on the ground floor and feature walls and ceilings lined with mirrors, gilded panels, and original art. It serves breakfast, dinner and an all-day menu.
L’oscar London is located in Southampton Row, a one-minute walk from Holborn underground station.

Travelodge Sittingbourne opens
Travelodge has just opened its first hotel in Sittingbourne in Kent – the group’s 589th property.
Travelodge Sittingbourne has 63 bedrooms. All rooms are furnished with king-size Travelodge Dreamer beds plus a TV with Freeview, a desk, bedside USB charging points, tea and coffee making facilities and an en-suite bathroom with shower, plus 30 minutes free wi-fi access.
The hotel is one component in a newly built leisure development which also includes shops, restaurants and a cinema
