Construction continues on the new 106-bedroom Hilton Garden Inn at Adventure Parc Snowdonia, located on the edge of the inland surf lagoon at Conwy Valley.

Hilton Garden Inn at Adventure Parc Snowdonia will be a four-storey building and will include a wellbeing spa, corporate conference and meeting facilities plus a restaurant overlooking the surf lagoon. It will be the first Hilton Garden Inn in Wales.

The Hilton Garden Inn is part of a £16million expansion of Adventure Parc Snowdonia. The project has included the construction of adventure facility ‘Adrenaline Indoors’ which opened last summer. A new pump track and adventure playground are expected to open in April.

Hilton Garden Inn at Adventure Parc Snowdonia will be one of the largest hotels in North Wales and is due to open in winter 2020.

Victorian House Hotel opens in Grasmere Village in Cumbria on 9th March. 

Victorian House Hotel will have 19 individually designed bedrooms plus a Shepherd’s Hut. It will feature several open-plan shared guest spaces as well as a riverside garden and a range of outdoor facilities.

Victorian House Hotel will also feature four special ‘Stargazer rooms’ which will have dual aspect hip-to-ceiling windows and telescopes.

The dining area at Victorian House Hotel will have a long, farmhouse-style table with a food offering focusing on local produce. The hotel will have an all-day menu of Cumbrian Tapas, cheese boards and sharing dishes.

Victorian House Hotel is set up to welcome lovers of the outdoors and will feature a Boot Room, bike washing and storing facilities and a warm dog shower.

Victorian House Hotel will be run by the same team who also operate Georgian House Hotel in Pimlico in London.

Buxton Crescent Hotel and Thermal Spa is a new hotel opening in Buxton, Derbyshire in Spring 2020

A multi-million pound redevelopment of Buxton Crescent has been underway for the last several years.

The Grade 1-listed building will now reopen this Spring as the five star Buxton Crescent Hotel with 81 bedrooms. It will be operated by Ensana Health Spa Hotels, a group with 26 spa hotels across Europe but making its debut in the UK.

Buxton Crescent Hotel will include a restaurant, two bars and a spa café. The 18th century ballroom – known as the Assembly Room – has been fully refurbished, fully equipped and now supported by several smaller meeting and events rooms all incorporating period features.

The Crescent was the centrepiece of the Fifth Duke of Devonshire’s plans to establish a fashionable Georgian spa town in Buxton.  The building is one of the most architecturally significant buildings in the country. The redevelopment and restoration following a £50 million investment is designed to put ‘Buxton back on the national and  international map’ as England’s leading spa town.

The Singapore-based Fragrance Group has bought up four sites along the English Riviera on which they plan to invest up to £150million to create four state-of-the-art hotels.

The sites include the Corbyn Head Hotel and the Palace Hotel in Torquay as well as the Park Hotel and The Lighthouse in Paignton.

The twin hotels at Paignton will be operated by Accor Hotels. The Park Hotel will become a 161 bedroom Mercure Hotel and is expected to open August 2021. The hotel currently on the Lighthouse site will become an Ibis Styles Hotel with 119 bedrooms. It is expected to open September 2021.

Palace Hotel in Torquay is set to become a five-star hotel with 248 bedrooms, conference facilities and a spa. No operator has been announced yet. Development work is expected to be complete by 2023.

Corbyn Head Hotel, also in Torquay, will have 150 plus bedrooms and will be operated by an, as yet to be announced, global brand. Corbyn Head will take between 18-22 months to build once development work gets underway.

In total, the four hotels will provide more than 600 bedrooms.

Other UK hotels recently acquired by the Fragrance Group include The Imperial Hotel in Blackpool, the Townhouse Hotel in Manchester and the Crown Hotel in Harrogate.

Seckford Hall Hotel, on the outskirts of Ipswich in Suffolk, has joined Best Western’s Premier Collection. It is the 20th hotel to join the group and has now been renamed Seckford Hall Hotel & Spa, BW Premier Collection by Best Western.

Seckford Hall Hotel has 32 bedrooms, with rooms in the main house plus Courtyard Suites and The Lodge which sleeps up to 4 guests and is set in a private garden. All rooms are stylishly furnished with luxury bedding, a large flat screen TV, free wi-fi and complimentary tea and coffee.

Seckford Hall features the ‘1530 Restaurant’ and the ‘Tudor Bar’.

Seckford Hall has three meeting rooms. The Great Hall is the largest seating up to 140 delegates and with its own bar.

Leisure facilities include the Seckford Spa with a swimming pool, hot tub and sauna, along with a range of single and double treatment rooms plus a gym.

Seckford Hall Hotel & Spa, BW Premier Collection by Best Western is a 16th century listed country house located a few miles from the Suffolk coast on the outskirts of Ipswich and with good access to the A12.

Travelodge has just opened a new 70-bedroom hotel in Gosport, Hampshire. It is Travelodge’s 589th hotel and one of two hotels the group is opening in Hampshire this year. 

Travelodge Gosport has 70 bedrooms, a selection of family, double and accessible rooms and all furnished with a king-size Travelodge Dreamer bed , a 32 inch Freeview TV, free in-room tea and coffee making facilities and wi-fi. Travelodge Gosport also has an on-site restaurant - The Bar Café - and offers on-site car parking.

Travelodge Gosport is located in Gosport’s High Street close to the ferry terminal.

A Travelodge Plus hotel opens with 152 bedroom in Portsmouth city centre later this year. It will be located by the city’s main station. It will be Travelodge’s third hotel in the city.
