Countrywide Hotels have just announced that they will be taking over the management of a further nine hotels from 1st October 2020. The properties range from hotels in the Cotswolds to hotels in North Yorkshire and Co Durham.

Countrywide Hotels will focus on repositioning the additional hotels, to bring them into line with their existing property portfolio, whilst ensuring individuality in each hotel.

Hotel Indigo Bath has just opened in an 18th century, Grade 1-listed Georgian terrace in the centre of Bath, Somerset.

Hotel Indigo Bath has 166 bedrooms each taking its design cues from the city’s surrounding Georgian architecture and the history of the local neighbourhood. These include ‘Romance & Mischief’ rooms, ‘Literary Hideaway’ rooms, ‘Georgian Architecture’ rooms, ‘Underground Vault’ rooms plus ‘Garden’ rooms in a newly built modern extension.

All rooms are equipped with Hypnos beds, spa-inspired bathrooms, Nespresso coffee machines, high speed wi-fi and a variety of channels on a 40” flat-screen television.

The Elder is the restaurant at Hotel Indigo Bath – serving ‘authentic, honest and timeless British cooking, with a focus on sustainability, seasonality, and locally sourced produce’. 

Hotel Indigo Bath has a dedicated meeting room for up to ten people. It is located in the hotel’s Private House, which has eight bedrooms and private dining and living spaces. It can be used solely as a meeting room, or for complete hire of the entire Georgian townhouse.

Hotel Indigo Bath is located in South Parade, a two minute a walk from Bath Spa station.

Hotel Indigo is a rapidly expanding IHG brand. There are currently 121 Hotel Indigo properties open globally.

The home of cornflakes, the former Kellogg's site in Manchester’s Old Trafford is set to be redeveloped with a new hotel included in the plans. The so-called ‘Lumina Village‘ proposals were brought forward earlier this year. The site is located opposite Old Trafford Cricket Ground.

Outline planning permission from Trafford Council has now been secured for a new hotel together with up to 750 residential homes, a school, office space and an energy centre.

The Grade II-listed Falcon Castle Ashby, a coaching inn located on the Castle Ashby estate in Northamptonshire has just reopened following completion of a restoration project on the inn – a property which first opened back in the sixteenth century.

The Falcon Castle Ashby has 22 totally refurbished and refashioned bedrooms.

‘Eyas’ is the restaurant at The Falcon Castle Ashby which serves, as far as possible, food from produce that has been grown, harvested and reared from within the Castle Ashby Estate.

Eyas Restaurant plus a private Dining Room, the Stables, the East Wing and the Cellar Bar are all available for private hire as events space.

Falcon at Castle Ashby has good access to M1 at junction 14. Northampton and Wellingborough stations with services to London Euston and London St. Pancras respectively are the nearest stations.

The £20 million new Hilton Garden Inn Stoke-on-Trent opens in October 2020.

Hilton Garden Inn Stoke-on-Trent is part of the new Smithfield development, a £200million mixed-use new business quarter in the centre of Stoke-on-Trent.

Hilton Garden Inn Stoke-on-Trent will have 140 bedrooms, meeting and conference facilities for up to 25 delegates, a fully equipped gym, a bar and a full service restaurant.

The bar and lounge area in Hilton Garden Inn Stoke-on-Trent will feature subtle references to the city's heritage – including the Spitfire, Wedgewood China and not forgetting footballing legend Sir Stanley Matthews.

The new Coventry Telegraph Hotel is planning to open autumn 2020 in the historic ex-premises of the Coventry Evening Telegraph newspaper. It opens just prior to Coventry’s reign as the UK City of Culture throughout 2021.

Coventry Telegraph Hotel will have 88 bedrooms including penthouse suites, a stylish all-day restaurant, a large, flexible events space and a rooftop bar overlooking Belgrade Square in the centre of Coventry.

All the bedrooms will be air-conditioned and will range in size from Snug through to Big, Bigger and Best bedrooms and suites.

‘Forme & Chase’ will be for all-day dining with a bar in a glazed courtyard.

‘Generators’ will be the seasonal rooftop bar overlooking Belgrade Square.

‘Editors’ will be the main events suite seating from 12 to160 delegate with a range of spaces, a lounge area and a bar.
