InterContinental Hotels (IHG) has announced plans to open their fifth Hotel Indigo in London. The 151-bedroom Hotel Indigo London – Clerkenwell is expected to open in early 2021.

Hotel Indigo London – Clerkenwell, will incorporate the historic listed building of the Hat & Feathers pub alongside two newly-built modern wings.

Hotel Indigo London – Clerkenwell will feature an all-day restaurant and five meeting rooms, as well as the existing pub.

Hotel Indigo London – Clerkenwell will join the newly opened Kimpton Fitzroy London and Hotel Indigo London - 1 Leicester Square.

IHG currently operate 15 Hotel Indigo properties in the UK with a further seven in the pipeline. This year IHG has opened Hotel Indigo Stratford Upon Avon and is due to open Hotel Indigo Bath and Hotel Indigo Chester later in the year.

The £45million refurbishment of Emerald Headingley Stadium in Leeds which started five years ago has now completed.

The refurbishment work has created a range of hospitality venues overlooking the cricket and rugby pitches from the new North Stand. Work has included a full refit of 13 boxes, the banqueting suite and the corporate reception.

The largest events space at Emerald Headingley Stadium is the Emerald Suite (pictured). It is the only suite in the world that overlooks two international sports stadia – home of Leeds Rhinos Rugby Club and Yorkshire County Cricket Club. The Emerald Suite will seat up to 450 guests for a banquet. A further eight suites at the stadium will accommodate from 20 to 350 delegates plus a range of stadium boxes seating up to 12 delegates.

Headingley Lodge with 36 hotel bedrooms is situated within the grounds at Emerald Stadium – all rooms with views across the pitches.

Emerald Headingley Stadium is located in the suburb of Headingley, around two miles from Leeds City Centre.

The newly refurbished easyHotel Old Street/Barbican in central London reopens on 14th June 2019 with 89-bedrooms.

easyHotel Old Street/Barbican is located at 80 Old Street -  across the ground, first and second floors of the building.

All bedrooms at easyHotel Old Street/Barbican are air-conditioned, fully heated and with en-suite showers. The hotel has a mix of double and twin-bedded rooms, some with windows and some without. Wi-fi internet access is available throughout the hotel at an additional cost.

easyHotel Old Street/Barbican is a conveniently located budget hotel for both central London and the nightlife hotspots of Shoreditch. It is located within walking distance of both Old Street and Barbican stations as well as being close to Tottenham Hotspur FC's new stadium in London.

One Aldwych hotel in central London is set to fully reopen in June following completion of its multimillion-pound refurbishment.

Both the Lobby Bar and Indigo Restaurant at One Aldwych have been 'reimagined' and both have already opened.

All 102 bedrooms at One Aldwych have been refurbished. ‘Britishness’ is the theme for the new look bedrooms which is manifest in subtle touches throughout from oak parquet floors through to British designed and manufactured furniture. 

One Aldwych first opened in Covent Garden 21 years ago. The stand-alone building was the home of the former Morning Post newspaper. It stands at the point where the City of London meets the West End.

Plans have just been published for a new Ibis Styles hotel in Stafford.

The planned Ibis Styles hotel would have 120 bedrooms and would be located in former retail premises now vacant in Hunter’s Row, to the north of Stafford town centre.

The proposals are currently in the hands of Stafford Borough Council's planning department.
