Dominvs Group has submitted a planning application for a hotel-led mixed-use development in Holborn in central London – reports Property Week.

The group is planning to convert  Citicape House at Holborn Viaduct, a building which is currently derelict, into a 382-bedroom hotel featuring a living ‘green wall’ spanning 40,000 sq ft, which it is claimed, would be the largest in Europe.

The development would also include flexible workspace floors, a restaurant and café, a public rooftop terrace and a new square.

The green ‘living wall’ would feature 400,000 plants which it is claimed would remove around nine tons of harmful CO2 emissions a year.

Dominvs currently operate five hotels in the UK including The Dixon Tower Bridge in London, a recently opened 193-bedroom hotel which is a member of Marriott’s Autograph Collection.
