Marriott International Hotels group has just opened its first UK ‘double-decker', dual-branded hotel, in Slough.

The 244-bedroom hotel complex forms part of a major redevelopment of Slough’s former central library site.

Moxy , Marriott’s lifestyle brand, occupies the lower four floors with 152 bedrooms, including 28 twin and eight accessible rooms.

Residence Inn by Marriott Slough, the group’s extended stay brand, shares the building with 92 suites each complete with extra living space and a fully-equipped kitchen.

Moxy Slough and Residence Inn by Marriott Slough each has its own entrance, but guests can use the shared facilities which include nine meeting and events suites covering 2,400 sq-ft. The ‘Brains’ and the ‘Virgil’ suites are the largest each seating up to 37 delegates theatre style. Other shared facilities include a fitness studio and a ninth floor Residence Inn outdoor terrace.

The Thunderbirds TV series was filmed on the nearby Slough Trading Estate and the hotel’s décor incorporates the pop-art wall graphics and signage associated with the Gerry & Sylvia Anderson puppet show – which also explains the names of the meeting rooms.

Moxy Slough and Residence Inn by Marriott Slough are located in William Street in the centre of Slough, a short walk from both Slough rail station and Slough bus station.
