Aloft Hotel planned for Birmingham

logo aloftInterstate Hotels Group has unveiled plans to open a new hotel and conference centre in Birmingham.

A 195-bedroom Aloft Hotel is planned with an adjacent conference venue.

The hotel would include a restaurant, cocktail bar and a gym.

The conference venue would include a main suite to accommodate around 800 people for a banquet or 1,200 delegates for a theatre style meeting. It would also include two flexible meeting spaces accommodating up to 270 delegates theatre style plus 13 meeting rooms and two dedicated executive boardrooms for up to 10 delegates.

The development is planned in Birmingham’s Eastside area. It would be located close to the new HS2 station at Curzon Street.

The project is part of Birmingham’s Big City Plan – a 20-year city centre masterplan which aims to transform the Eastside area into a business, leisure, cultural and learning destination.
