Requests at Travelodge

logo travelodgeBThe list of items left in Travelodge bedrooms, which the group published periodically, always makes fascinating reading.

Travelodge has now revealed the most bizarre requests that some of its customers have made whilst staying in their hotels during the last twelve months. We have picked a selection from their Birmingham hotel portfolio.

A romantic husband asked staff at the Birmingham Central Travelodge to fill his bath with Prosecco to mark his wife’s birthday.

A guest staying at the same hotel asked employees to babysit his royally-named Persian cat - Lord Leo of Northamptonshire.

A guest at Travelodge Birmingham Central Moor Street requested a marquee in the car park for a meeting – he should have contacted us instead.

A guest at Travelodge Birmingham Central Bullring went one better. He wanted to book the hotel manager’s office in order to hold a meeting.

Staff at Travelodge Birmingham Yardley were asked to entertain their children so the parents could watch the football.

The above are relatively straightforward compared with a guest at Doncaster M18 Travelodge who asked staff to help deliver a baby…which they duly did. However, finding a train to take a guest to Hogwarts proved a little more difficult

Meanwhile back on planet earth, Travelodge plan to open seven new hotels in the West Midlands: in either Edgbaston or Selly Oak in Birmingham, Solihull, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Worcester plus two in Coventry.

Other bizarre requests from across the country include:

Where can we see wild Haggis? Fort William

Will you be my Bridesmaid? Glasgow Central

Can I dock my yacht in your car park? London Tower Bridge
