wm travelodgeDudleyTravelodge has confirmed plans to open seven new hotels in the West Midlands, part of a £42million investment.

The new hotels will be in either Edgbaston or Selly Oak in Birmingham, Solihull, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Worcester and two hotels in Coventry.

Travelodge has just opened its second hotel in Dudley. The £6million hotel has 78 bedrooms and a Bar Café.

Travelodge Dudley Town Centre is situated on the former Royal Brierley Crystal factory and prior to that the site was a limestone quarry.

The site’s historical background has been marked in the development of the new Travelodge. The large windows on the south elevation of the building display textured designs of fossils, shells and corals representing the limestone quarry that lies underground.
