birmingham edgbastonhotelThe Edgbaston is a six bedroom boutique hotel and cocktail lounge which opened in 2014 in Edgbaston in Birmingham.

The owners have just unveiled plans to convert vacant office space next door to create an additional 14 bedrooms.

The former office building is Grade II-listed and dates from the mid-19th century but has fallen in disrepair in recent years.

The Edgbaston is noted for its elegant afternoon teas served all afternoon as well as for it individually styled luxury bedrooms.

The Edgbaston is located in Highfield Road just across the road from The High Field bar and restaurant which itself has 12 bedrooms. Michelin-starred Simpson’s Restaurant is also just around the corner.
